Adult Ministry
All adults are invited to deepen their faith and experience
the sense of community offered by St. Louis Church, whether it is through
Bible study, classes in faith formation, or sacrament preparation.
Adult Bible Study
Using the Little Rock Scripture Study materials, this group is open to
all who would like to study and discuss Scripture, one book at a time.
This group meets on Monday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 PM in the Pastoral
Care Room, with new sessions beginning in September and February.
Natural Family Planning
Learn how to protect the holiness and purity of marital relations through this
life enhancing, safe, 99% effective practice. Call for class locations, Spanish
Classes, or home study.
Baptism Preparation
We help parents to make a thoughtful commitment to their child's Catholic faith
through the Sacrament of Baptism. We welcome participants to become fully involved
as a family in parish life. Classes are held on the 2 nd Thursday of each month
from 7-8:30 p.m. except for December. Please sign up before your child is born.
Baptisms are scheduled the 3rd and 4th weekend of each month either during one of the Masses or in a group setting after the 11:15 Mass.
Catechetical School, Archdiocese of Denver
St. Louis will again be a host site for adult faith
formation classes in 2005. Please watch the bulletin for details on upcoming
classes. Updated information on the summer school schedule can be found
at www.archden.org/catechetical.
Catholic Biblical School of Denver
Founded in 1982 to help adults in the Archdiocese of
Denver learn to know, love, and live scripture, the Catholic Biblical School
offers a proven program of in-depth Scripture study in the Catholic tradition.
It provides both an understanding of the meaning of God's word and the
application of its message to our lives today. Please call the Catholic
Biblical School at 303-715-3195 for more information.
Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), Teens (RCIT), and
Children (RCIC)
RCIA is for non-Catholics who wish to join the Church, baptized Catholics who
desire First Eucharist and Confirmation, and those who have never been baptized.
Church teachings are presented in the context of a community of faithful believers
so that the faith becomes a living, experienced reality. We meet September -
June. For grades 6-12, RCIT follows the same process from September - May to
help teens prepare to receive the sacrament of initiation in the context of
the LIFETEEN program. (see link) For grades 3-5, RCIC meets from September through
April and offers sacrament preparation for Baptism, First Eucharist, and Confirmation.

Men's Retreat
The Men's Retreat is held at St. Louis in February. Please watch the bulletin
for information as it becomes available.
Women's Day
Women's Day is an annual fall event that provides a time where women can get
together as a church community to learn more about our faith. It's a day of
celebration, prayer, reflections, and blessings. Women's Day consists of a Mass,
a guest speaker, beautiful music to warm our hearts and personal time to find
ourselves in the loving presence of God.
Women's Day will be October 15, 2005.
Cooking for Senior Support Services
On the first Monday of every other month,
St. Louis provides a meal for 70 homeless elderly
residents of Denver. A small crew delivers and serves a dinner made up of items
that are cooked or donated by parishioners. We need food donations every month.
